"A Banshee's cry could break a demon's heart."
The others ran to see what had startled them.
Sami stood up and wiped her mouth. She turned away from the scene.
Mrs Atkinson was handing from the ceiling near the window. At first glance it looked like suicide, but she was hanging from the pull cord to the window blinds.
"The Stray Shadows must have tied her to it," Yyarrl said as he walked over to the hanging woman. "It looks like they have enough energy to manipulate larger objects. We had better be careful."
They left the room to light up the final one.
Saika went for this room. He opened the door and felt for the light. He switched it on. A furry ball shot past him yowling.
They all jumped back in shock.
A tabby streak darted down the stairs.
"It's only Mrs Atkinson's cat," Sami sighed. "Well, let's get this job finished."
The group collected themselves before heading down the stairs. They stopped outside the door to the living room – the only room that hadn't been lit up

"Exorcize verb (exorcizes, exorcizing, exorcized)
Get rid of an evil spirit. Exorcism noun, exorcist noun [from Greek]"
- Abbreviation, Oxford Pocket Dictionary
Yyarrl and Sami were on their way back. Sami had managed to pick up two books on exorcism. Sami was carrying them to keep Yyarrl's arms free perchance they should encounter any danger. Luckily, they had managed to make their way to the organisation with little problem.
"I hope this works," Sami told Yyarrl.
"So do I," He agreed.
The sun was coming up, and Yyarrl was starting to become a little uneasy. Sami had noticed this, but didn't want to question the Shadow Lord about it.
"We only have one more night," Sami reminded him. "So when we get back, we shall have to knuckle down."
Yyarrl nodded. "I know."
Sami looked at him. He looked really anxious and on edge.
"Are you okay?" She asked him.
Yyarrl looked at her. "What? Oh, yes I am fine."
Sami looked at him sceptically. "You don't look fine. Does the sun bother you?"

"One look at the Netherworld and you know what the end of the world will be like… Hell."
- T. Morris "The Legend of the Netherworld"
Sami, Jo and Yyarrl stood outside the hotel. Everything was quiet. There was no one on the streets, no cars, not even a stray cat prowling along the fences of nearby gardens.
"I don't like this," Sami said. "It is way too quiet."
"I will search out the streets, wait here," Said Yyarrl.
"Be careful," Sami told him.
He looked at her and grunted. He disappeared around the side of the hotel.
Jo looked at Sami out of the corner of her eye. "You're jumpy. What's wrong?"
Sami looked at her. "The world is infested with monsters and you ask me 'what's wrong?' Are you mad?"
"It's just how you told Yyarrl to be careful," Jo pointed out. "He is the Shadow Lord of the Netherworld. The creatures there fear him. I think he will be okay."
Sami nodded. "Yes… you're right." She gulped. "But if we loose him, we're screwed."
Jo looked at her. "You and Yyarrl seem rather…

Stray shadows often flit around in dark areas

Yyarrl sighed and watched the demon fly away. He turned to Saika.
The angel locked eyes with the Shadow Lord. "This is a one off, Yyarrl," He told him. "I hope you are aware of that."
"Of course I'm aware," Yyarrl smiled wickedly at the angel. "When am I ever going to need your assistance again? With any luck you'll meet your end on this mission."
Saika glared at him. "The only reason I am doing this is for the fate of a world I intend to stay on until I regain my soul. Other than that I do not give a crap about this world, unlike you. Got it?"
Sami turned her attention to Yyarrl. "You care about this world?"
"It's my job, human!" Yyarrl told her. "To help maintain the balance of good and evil. You already know that."
"But I didn't think you cared…"
"Silence wench!" Yyarrl snapped at her.
Saika smiled an evil smile. He turned his back on the Shadow Lord and spread his wings. He looked back at t

Don't think of death as an end, think of it as a new beginning.
- Lord Yyarrl to T. Morris
Saika was pacing the streets of Velesquire, searching for Azareth. He walked along a street lined with desolate buildings that seemed to leer at him, telling him to go away.
He spotted an alley. He didn't know why, but he felt compelled to go down it.
'I sense something' he thought to himself, 'something demonic. It might be her.'
He went down the alley, cautiously checking every shadow for the Netherworld creatures. Then he saw it, a large winged creature infront of him. It wasn't facing in his direction but instead at one of the walls. Despite its deformed shape, its wings didn't seem to fold properly. Suspicious, he stamped a foot. It didn't move.
Thinking this situation weird, Saika approached it with caution. It could be sleeping. As he got closer he felt his foot slap a puddle. He looked down. Blood. He then looked at the creature. It was covered in wounds, blood still seeping out of the

Saika was sat beneath a tree, displeased with the recent events.
'Why?' He thought to himself. 'Why is she scared of me?'
Something scurried past him to his right.
"Come out!" He shouted to the noise. "I know your there, you cant hide."
A cat-like creature with very long, silky white fur materialised in front of him and flicked its two long tails menacingly, fixing its pink eyes on Saika. It was one of Celestia's Likayas.
"What do you want?" Saika asked the creature.
A whispering voice came from the Likayas's mouth. "You know you cannot have her Saika, so why keep trying?"
"I might as well try," Saika told the Likayas. "Considering I thought I might have the chance."
The Likayas flicked its two tails again. "You cannot. You are an Angel. An Angel. Angels cannot have demons or humans. You belong in a world of paradise, not sin or Hell."
"How can Celestia b
